Postcard Campaigns
While the majority of the correspondence that I receive from constituents is from them personally, from time to time I also receive large numbers of identical pieces that are part of a postcard mailing campaign. These cards are distributed by a wide variety of groups, including: non-governmental organizations, church groups, industry associations, and others. Residents then sign their names and drop the cards in the nearest mailbox.
The number of cards that I receive helps me gauge the public's level of interest or concern relating to each particular issue. Usually, the numbers are quite high. Therefore, I would like to use this space to share my responses to some of the postcard campaigns that have been undertaken in our riding recently.
I hope you find these pieces informative.
